This course is designed to prepare students to conduct mobile forensic analysis by covering the fundamentals of digital forensics from a mobile forensics perspective. This includes data preservation, timestamp analysis, iOS system logs, Google takeout, and reporting. The course will then look at Android and iOS analysis.

Prerequisites

This course is intended for students with no prior experience in mobile forensics. A basic concept of computer usage is expected.

This training is designed for anyone who wants to learn more about mobile forensics. This may include current forensic examiners as well as those with an interest in the field. No formal training in digital or mobile forensics is required.

What you need to for the course

1. Any computer with an internet connection capable of watching live stream video will be able to view the lectures in this class. Students will need a headset and microphone.

2. We recommend systems with the latest Intel/AMD CPU, 8GB RAM, and 250GB of disk space to participate in lab content.

3. Some tools are Windows only; however, a Windows Virtual Machine will work.
