The exam is divided into two parts:

    “First of all, my honest feedback about the exam is you all did a great job to put out relevant theory based questions with the right amount to actually test foundation knowledge of your learners. All questions could be traced back to C5W100 course but there is some drawback on the evidence acquisition part of the exam, since there are image fragmentation value that did not specify and even so I tried to use default value and no image fragmentation and create disk image, i still could not replicate the same hash.. it might be good to tell learners more details about this but overall, this is solid for very beginner and if i have a junior/intern that want to study Digital forensics then i would definitely recommended this as minimum requirement to actually learn more advanced things!     What you need to know about CDFF?

    • How much time do I have to complete the exam?

      One day to complete the exam.

    • What does the exam format looks like, is it a multiple choice question (MCQ), or what exactly?

      This certification exam is divided into two main parts: 🔹 Part 1 – Theoretical Assessment Test your understanding of essential digital forensics foundations through multiple-choice and scenario-based questions that reflect real-world investigative situations. 🔹 Part 2 – Practical Challenge Apply your knowledge in a guided, hands-on environment. You'll be required to perform basic forensic tasks, identify key artifacts, and demonstrate your ability to use common tools and follow standard procedures.

    • What tools do I need for the exam? Will you provide me with a lab environment?

      We provide a virtual machine to complete the exam, but it is intentionally kept minimal. Installing and configuring the appropriate tools is part of the exam process, this ensures you have the hands-on skills to set up a working environment independently. If you’ve completed our C5W-100 course or followed our free “Build Your Own Environment” course, you’ll already have the knowledge you need to do this successfully.

    • Is there any support to contact during my exam period?

      You are welcome to email our team exams [at] cyber5w [dot] com, but please note that we will not be able to answer any question related to the exam itself. In other words, we won’t be giving any hints to the investigation given for your exam.
